You could be here...

To get to Tigh Eilidh, you need to get to Eigg first - this is done via the CalMac ferry from Mallaig.  Ferry schedules vary by time of year, so please check before making the trip to avoid any troubles.

Eigg offers many seasonal activities for groups and individuals from beach combing to guided nature/history walks to kayaking, sailing or biking.

Eigg has a wealth of storied sites across the island which can also be explored. We have left several books available for your reference and to help you find some of the more interesting sites (i.e. Kildonnan Church, the Massacre Cave). You can also contact Eigg Adventures and they will be glad to assist.

There is also a lot of wildlife to be seen: seals, various birds (not including the red hens who wander into the yard!), whales and otters. The Crofter's House Museum and Eigg Museum, provide more information on the wildlife, history and life on the island.

To reach Tigh Eilidh from the ferry pier, you can walk (it will take approx 40-60 mins), rent a bike or arrange for a taxi pick up. If walking or riding a bike, follow the main road north from the pier into Cleadale. Once you pass Laig Bay on your left, past Legeorna Guest house on your right, continue past the Military Memorial at the "Y" cross roads another 1/8 mile. Tigh Eilidh will be on your right hand side of the road, just behind the sign for "Eigg Organics". It will be the pale yellow house with the stone fence, wooden gate and large front kitchen window.
